Curwensville: Jim Harner 78 of Curwensville passed away Sunday December 10, 2023.


Born April 2, 1945 in West Chester, PA he was the son of Ernest and Lois (Wascher) Harner. Jim worked as a tool and die maker for Pontiac in Michigan and also worked for DuPont in Clearfield. He also owned and operated Harner Mobile Home Supplies in Curwensville.


He was methodist by faith and recently attended Curwensville Christian Church.


He was active in his community serving on the Curwensville Days Committee, and was in charge of the annual car show at Curwensville Days for numerous years. And was also involved in the Susquehanna River Raft project.


He is survived by four children Wandalee “Wanda” Holsworth of Auburn Hills MI, Ryan Harner (Heather) of Waterford, MI, Tammy Bortot of Curwensville, and Shellie Moore (Mark) of Franklin, PA. Grandchildren Amanda Stoddart (Patrick), Kyle Harner, Morgan Holsworth, Delbert Holsworth, Brian Bortot (Jamie), Khris Bortot, Chad Bortot (Krista). Kaleigh Gustafson (Matt), Kortnie White (Ryan), and Kassity Moore significant other Jordan. Numerous great grandchildren. A sister Carolyn Kanour (Larry) of Sandy Ridge.


He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Harner, brother Carl Harner, sister Sandy Holt, and Lorraine Meek.


Services for Mr. Harner will be private for the family. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
