John A. Jones Grampian: John Alfred Jones, 58, of Anderson Creek Hill, Grampian RD, passed away Friday March 27, 2009 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born April 10, 1950 in Clearfield, he was the son of John H. and Dorothy M. (Antes) Jones. Mr. Jones had worked for Goodwill Industries, and currently was employed by Fayette Resources in Hyde, PA. He participated in Special Olympics competing in Bowling and Track & Field. He was a member of the Grampian Church of God.

Surviving is his mother of Anderson Creek Hill, Grampian RD, and 2 sisters. Catherine A. Mullins and her husband C. Ben of Curwensville and Bonnie Vorderbrueggen and her husband DeWayne of Rochester, PA as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Boyce Allen Jones.

A Memorial Services for Mr. Jones will be held at the Grampian Church of God, Grampian, PA, on Sunday April 19, 2009 at 3:00 PM, with the Reverend Gust J. Maderia Jr. officiating.

There will be no public visitation.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Special Olympics.
