John Bruce Griffith, 67, of Glen Campbell and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Saturday March 26, 2016 at Penn Highlands Elk Regional in Saint Marys.

Born September 10, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of Robert J. and Margaret Mary (Myrter) Griffith. Mr. Griffith had taught at St. Francis High School in Clearfield for several years. He was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, and had served in the US Army Reserves.

Surviving are 2 sisters and a brother. R. James Griffith and wife Diane of Westerville, OH, Melanie Griffith of DuBois and Nancy Griffith of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no public visitation and private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Curwensville Area School District.
