Obituary for Josephine Coletta Cathcart
Josephine Coletta Cathcart, 84, of Clearfield, and formerly of Olanta, passed away Saturday July 24, 2010 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born July 12, 1926 in Grampian, she was the daughter of James and Anna (Donahue) Quigley. Mrs. Cathcart was a homemaker.
On August 26, 1944 she wed Ward A. “Popeye” Cathcart who preceded her in death on September 13, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Thomas Cathcart, brothers Thomas, Edward, Enic, Robert, and Willard Quigley, and a sister Maude Moronni.
Surviving are 3 children; Ellen Cathcart and Diane Bickel and her husband Alan both of Clearfield, and Robert Cathcart of New Millport. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Kimberly, James, and Emily and 4 sisters, Pauline Quigley and Anna Marie Quigley both of Grampian, Elizabeth Metzger of Williamsport, and Helen Litz of West Decatur.
Services for Mrs. Cathcart will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Thursday July 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta RD.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM, until time of services.
