Obituary for June K. Fink
June K. Shaffer Fink, 84, of Marron, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 19 at the home of her son in Hollidaysburg following a brief illness. Born Oct. 7, 1930, in Kerrmoor, she was the daughter of Anderson and Vena (Wiley) Shaffer.

She was a homemaker, and had also served as tax collector and judge of elections for Ferguson Township. She was an active member of the Kerrmoor Grange and the Zion Baptist Church for many years, and later a member of the Cherry Corner Bible Church.

Family, friends and neighbors benefited from her cooking expertise, especially her pies and cinnamon rolls, which were always on hand, and shared with anyone who stopped by. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, her warm sense of humor remained strong all her days.

On Oct. 9, 1950, she wed Kenneth R. Fink, who survives along with four children, Marty Rowles, James Fink, Debra Richmond (Timothy) and Janice Mankey (Gary), who are forever blessed to have been hers. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Matthew Rowles, Craig Rowles, Teresa Fink, Karen Khalil (George), Richard Fink and Elizabeth Demko (Robert). Also surviving are five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Â

The last of her generation, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Presley Shaffer, Alta Solley, Eva Wood, Amber Berry, Arletha Clark, Eleanor Patterson, Lorraine Ross and Lloyd Shaffer.

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Fink are being conducted by the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. in Curwensville, where friends and family will be received on Wednesday, April 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. The service will take place on Thursday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at the Zion Baptist Church in Kerrmoor, officiated by Pastor George Solley and Pastor Timothy Richmond. Visitation will also be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Fruit Hill Cemetery, Ansonville.Â
