Obituary for Kathryn E. Caldwell
Kathryn E. (Smeal) Caldwell, 73 of Curwensville went home to be with the Lord early morning on September 3, 2016 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
Kathy was born on September 16, 1942 in Clearfield, the daughter of the late Ray and the late Mildred (Mason) Smeal.
She was a 1960 High Honor Graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola School District. She was formerly employed by CNB Bank and Kent Sportswear. She was also a Homemaker, and Daycare Provider.
She married Gerald E. “Jerry” Caldwell on Sept. 30, 1961 at the Ohio E.U.B. Church of Morgan Run, by the Rev. Ernest McClain.
She was a faithful member and a Primary Sunday School teacher at the former Calvary Baptist Tabernacle of Curwensville, and currently attended the Clearfield Alliance Church.
She loved spending time with her family, going to church, reading, and preparing holiday meals. She was a kind hearted lady and was loved by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Glenn and his wife, Rose, of Lewistown, PA. She is also survived by a brother, Al, and his wife Rose of Sanborn, a sister, Linda K. McCombs of Clearfield, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Gordon, a brother, Leroy Smeal and his wife Nancy, Kenny and his wife Dottie, and a brother-in-law, Brooks McCombs. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Minnie Mason, who raised her since infancy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Clearfield Alliance Church 45 Alliance Road Clearfield, on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Robert Goldenberg officiating. Interment will be in the Baughman Cemetery in Sanborn, PA.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM
