Obituary for Leo Merritt Folmar
Leo Merritt Folmar, 67, of Clearfield, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Sunday March 22, 2015 at the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born July 28, 1947 in Clearfield, he was the son of Thomas James and Eva Christie (Hallman) Folmar. Mr. Folmar was a cook and was retired from the Dutch Pantry Restaurant in Clearfield. Prior to that had worked for the Holiday Inn restaurant and the Best Western restaurant, both in Clearfield.

He was Christian by Faith, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball fan and an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan.

Surviving is a son Gregory Folmar, a sister June Rowles of Lock Haven, 2 nieces Michelle Reeder and husband Fred of Lock Haven and Kim Peterson and her companion Scott Benson of Clearfield as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Louise Folmar.

Memorial Funeral Services for Mr. Folmar will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday March 27, 2015 at 2 PM, with the Reverend Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville, PA.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 2 PM.
