Obituary for Marie Stephens
Leota Marie Stephens, 95, of Curwensville, passed away Friday morning, October 28, 2022 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born August 19, 1927 in Olanta, Knox Township, she was the daughter of Kenneth W. and Emma Flo (Robbins) Kline. Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker, and had also worked for the former Airplane/Marine in Hyde and the former SewTex Garment Factory in Curwensville.
On September 21, 1946 in Olanta, PA, she wed Forrest Ray Stephens who preceded her in death on May 19, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Jane Pellish and Georgia Pawlukovich; and brothers: William Robert Kline and Lewis Kline. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are four children: Janice Marie Kelly and husband James of Englewood, FL; Karen Louise Wall and husband David of Grampian; and Allen Lee “Tuffy” Stephens and wife Susan and Jerry Wayne Stephens and wife Mary Ann both of Curwensville. Also surviving are Fourteen Grandchildren; Twenty Eight Great Grandchildren; and One Great Great Grandchild.
Funeral Services for Marie Stephens will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Rick Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Olanta.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday November 2, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM
