Obituary for Lynn Duane Mauk
Lynn Duane Mauk, 79, of Clearfield and formerly of Mahaffey, passed away Monday July 31, 2017 at the Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born February 27, 1938 in Middletown, Mahaffey RD, he was the son of Wesley A. and Margaret H. (Young) Mauk. Mr. Mauk was a retired truck driver and had served with the US Marine Corp. He was a member of the Clearfield VFW, the Clearfield Eagles and a former member of the Clearfield American Legion.
On April 16, 1976 in California he wed the former Sandra Carol Wilt who survives along with 4 children: Betty Jo Stiner of Indiana, Diane Beard and husband Kirby of Missouri., Jeff Mauk of LaJose, Brenda Mauk of Montana; 5 step children Cindy Graham, Byron Graham Jr. and Fred A. Graham all of Clearfield, Trish Holt of Lancaster and Michael J. Graham of Virginia.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren: Summer Beard of MO, Heath Beard of Kentucky, Jessie, Joshua and Joseph Mauk of Florida, Todd Stiner pf Indiana and Allen Erskine of Clearfield; 2 step grandchildren Robert “Pug” Butler and Harley Rae Daniels; numerous great grandchildren.
In addition 4 sisters and 4 brothers also survive: Sally Smith and husband Paul of California, Sharon VanStanwick and husband Wilbur of CA, Donna Smith of FL, Cindy Barrett and husband Norman of Carnwath, James Mauk and wife Mary Lou of Homer City, Larry Mauk and wife Lorna of Indiana, PA, Dale Mauk and wife Cathy of Punxsutawney and Kenneth Mauk and wife Kathy of California.
He was preceded on death by his parents, an infant son James an infant brother Lindy and a sister Mary Jane Ogden.
Services for Mr. Mauk will be held at the Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey on Saturday August 5, 2017 at 2 PM, with the Reverend Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will be in the Mahaffey Cemetery, Mahaffey., PA.
Friends will be received at the Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services.
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Glen Campbell Honor Guard
