Obituary for Mabel R. Rider
Mabel R. Rider, 99, of Curwensville, and formerly of Erie and Phoenix, AZ, passed away Tuesday May 29, 2012 at the Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.

Born December 26, 1912 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Sloppy) Rider. Miss Rider had worked for General Electric in Erie and also had worked as a nurses Aide in nursing home settings. She also was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness in Philipsburg.

Surviving are nieces and nephews Jack Taylor, Charles Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Nancy Irwin, William Taylor all of Curwensville and Stronach and also several nieces and nephews from the Erie area and from Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Geraldine Sharp, Gertrude Schrock, and Mary Taylor and a niece Ruth Patterson. She was the last member of her generation.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date and interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville
