Clearfield: Mae L. Bunnell 79, of Clearfield passed away Thursday August 21, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born August 6, 1935 in Carnwath she was the daughter of August and Laura (Flute) Dufour. She was a 1953 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She retired from JC Penny’s after 20 years of service in retail and management.
On September 30, 1961 in Niagara Falls NY she wed Joseph “Joe” Bunnell who survives of Clearfield along with a daughter Laurie Robertson and her husband Robert of Clearfield. 3 grandchildren Laina Jackson and her husband Brandon of Mineral Springs, Leah Robertson, and Joseph Robertson both of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son William “Bill” Dufour, brother August Dufour, and 2 sisters Lorraine Taylor and infant sister Louise Dufour.
She was the last member of her generation.
At the request of Mrs. Bunnell there will be no public services or viewing. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
