Obituary for Mae Louise Rainey
Mae Louise Rainey, 74, of Curwensville, passed away Sunday December 2, 2012 at her residence.
Born April 8, 1938 in Pike Township, she was the daughter of William McKinley and Sarah Ellen (Johnson) Heitsenrether. Mrs. Rainey was retired from the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville, and had also worked as a bartender for both the LaJose Hotel and the Curwensville L.O.O.M.
She was a member of the Living Hope Apostolic Church in Clearfield, and was a Charter Member of the Mahaffey VFW.
Surviving are 5 children: Doug Heitsenrether and Dave Heitsenrether both of Erie, Laura Bennett and husband Rick of Glen Richey, Scott Rainey and fiancée Sharon Passmore of Carnwath, and Tim Rainey of Albion, PA. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters. Dorothy “Dot” Sutherland and Mildred “Mid” Bradshaw, both of New York State.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother George Heitsenrether and a sister Ruth Dunlap.
At the request of Mrs. Rainey there will be no public visitation. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at a later date.
