Obituary for Margaret E. "Peg" Hamilton
Margaret E. “Peg” Hamilton, 88, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born January 24, 1928 in Grampian, PA, she was the daughter of Christopher and Katherine (Rowles) Cullen. Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker and had also, for a short time, worked for Pine Grove Nursery in Glen Richey. She attended the Community Baptist Church in Bloomington.
On June 12, 1948 in Curwensville, she wed Jesse Hamilton who preceded her in death on December 7, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Darlene Hamilton, a son Jeff Hamilton, a granddaughter Penny Dotts, a brother Jack Cullen, and 3 sisters: Louise Carfley, Anna Jean Winebold and Alice Wagner.
Surviving are 6 children: Francis “Butch” Hamilton and wife Toni of Tacoma, WA, Robert Hamilton of Clearfield, David Hamilton and wife Linda of Grampian, Barbara Shaffer and husband Robert “Rob” and Jesse Hamilton Jr. both of Bloomington and Dennis “Duckie” Hamilton and wife Kathie of Hyde.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and a brother Christopher Cullen of Youngstown, OH.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hamilton will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday December 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Roger McGary officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery Curwensville, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 12 Noon until time of services at 2 PM.
