Obituary for Marian E. "Peg" Caldwell
Marian E. “Peg” Caldwell, 87, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday December 23, 2010 at her residence.
Born January 18, 1923 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Burnis and Virginia (Rowles) Rea. Mrs. Caldwell was a homemaker, was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Bloomington where she was a Sunday School Teacher, worked in the Junior Church, and participated in the choir.
On February 7, 1940 in Curwensville, she wed Archie W. Caldwell who preceded her in death on October 29, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister June Rea. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are 5 children: Jerry Caldwell and his wife Katherine and Kent Caldwell and his wife Bonnie both of Curwensville, Joyce Marie Swiskoski ad her husband David of San Diego, CA, and Marsha McCracken and Allen “Beaver” Caldwell and his wife Holly both of Clearfield. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Caldwell will be held a the Community Baptist Church of Bloomington, Curwensville RD on Tuesday December 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Todd Hogue Officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park of Hyde, PA.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Monday December 27 from 6 to 9 PM, and Tuesday at the church from 10 AM until time of services.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Community Baptist Church.
