Obituary for Marlies Ann Deakin
Marlies Ann Deakin, 83, of RD West Decatur, passed away early Monday morning June 20, 2016 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born December 10, 1932 in Stettin-Politz, Germany, she was the daughter of Herman and Anni (Witte) Petry. Mrs. Deakin had worked as a clerk in the Deli and Bakery of the former Super-Duper Food Market, the former BiLo Food Market and retired from the Weiss Markets after 30 years of service. She attended the Clearfield First Baptist Church.

In October of 1954 in Darnstadt, Germany she wed William H. Deakin who survives along with five daughters and a son; Diane Deakin, Veronica Anderson, Linda Deakin, Rhonda Deakin and William Deakin all of Pittsburgh and Carol Helsel of Parks Colorado. Also surviving are 4 grandsons and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

At the request of Mrs. Deakin there will be no public visitation.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Deakin will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with the Reverend Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery Woodland, PA
