DuBois: Mary C. “Kaye” Wink 87 of Curwensville passed away Friday March 10, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois.


Born June 24, 1935 in Bell Run Penn Township she was the daughter of John M. and Cecelia Rafferty (Clapsadle). She served her country in the United States Air Force where she was a member of the WAF Program. She received her certificate from Charles School of Beauty and was licensed as a beautician. She worked for Shale Hill Coal Company as a bookkeeper for 10 years. She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Curwensville where she served various roles in the St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Grampian.


On October 15, 1955 at St. Bonaventure Church in Grampian she wed Blair H. Wink who preceded her in death on August 3, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Robbie William Wink, infant daughter Janie Lynn Wink, and grandson Willard “Billy” Passauer III.


She is survived by 2 daughters Kathy Ann Passauer and her husband Deacon Willard “Fred” of Naples, Florida, and Carrie Elizabeth Lezanic and her husband Terry of Indiana, PA., and daughter-in -law Mary Beth Connor, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Kenneth Clapsadle of Clearfield, Sara Ann Forte of NJ, John Clapsadle and his wife Barbara of MD, and Carl Clapsadle of MD.


She had a deep abiding love of family and faith. Her devotion to prayer brought comfort to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.


Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, on Wednesday March 15, 2023 at 10 AM with Father Stephen L. Collins officiating. Assisting will be Deacon Willard “Fred” Passauer. Interment will follow in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.


Family and friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Tuesday March 14, 2023 from 4-7 PM and on Wednesday from 9-9:30AM.


The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society, 108R N 2nd Street Clearfield, PA 16830.
