Obituary for Mary Jane LaRock
Mary Jane LaRock Mays, 88, a resident of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Saturday November 6, 2010 at the Nursing Center.
Born April 3, 1922 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of Anthony “Pete” and Caroline Grace (Korb) LaRock. Mrs. Mays was a homemaker.
On October 18, 1940 in Bennettsville, SC, she wed Lloyd “Lefty” Mays who preceded her in death on January 10, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Alyce Scipione and a brother Howard LaRock.
Surviving is a sister and 3 brothers. Sarah Johnston of Grampian, William LaRock of Erie, Robert K. LaRock and his wife Veronica and George E. LaRock and his wife Joyce both of Curwensville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
At the request of Mrs. Mays there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the Salvation Army of Clearfield 119 Byers Street Clearfield, PA 16830, the Community Care Group of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 30 4th Avenue Curwensville, Pa 16833, or the charity of the donor’s choice
