Clearfield: Michael S. Maines 57 of Glen Richey passed away Tuesday June 25, 2024 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Born December 1, 1966 in Clearfield he was the son of Paul M and Betty J. (Price) Maines. He was owner operator of Country Auto Sales in Clearfield for 27 years.
He was a member of ABATE, supported the Relay for Life, was a member of Curwensville Loyal Order of Moose #268, and Noble Lodge #480 in Curwensville.
He also enjoyed cars show and especially the Carlisle Car Show, Loved cookouts and family functions. And enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by eight children Brian S. Maines of DuBois, Casey M. Maines of Glen Richey, Caleb Guiher, Jacob Guiher of Glen Richey, and James Guiher, Liam Allen, Bella Allen, and Grace Allen all of Grampian. Brothers and Sisters Leon Scott Maines of VA, Susie Mitchell (Dan) of DuBois, Sam Maines (Dorothy), Lori Wisor (Len) of Mineral Springs, Michael Maines of St. Marys, Steve Maines (Jodie) of Marienville, Graylon Brunisky (Rhonda) of Grassflat, Terry Kester of Curwensville, and Tracey Kester of LaJose. And numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Kim J. Maines and a brother David Kester.
Funeral Services for Mr. Maines will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Saturday June 29, 2024 at 11AM with Reverend Sam Maines officiating. Interment will be held in the Bloomington Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Friday June 28, 2024 from 4-7 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM till the time of services at 11 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org.
