Mildred A. “Millie” Rowles
Curwensville: Mildred A. “Millie” Rowles, 85, of Glen Richey passed away Thursday June 5, 2025 at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 23, 1940 in Carnwath, PA she was the daughter of Melvin and Minnie (Mays) Hockenberry. She was a homemaker and was Baptist by faith attending the former Calvary Baptist Church.
She loved baking, doing word search puzzles, and enjoyed doing embroidery.
She is survived by three children Edgar J. Rowles III of Glen Richey, Jerome M. “Jerry” Rowles of Clearfield, and Joy A. Veihdeffer and her significant other William “Bill” Puit Jr. of Olanta, 2 grandsons Cody Veihdeffer of Hyde, and Garrett Veihdeffer of Philipsburg. And 2 great grandchildren Jamison Veihdeffer and Cameron Lauder.
She was the last member of her generation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Edgar J. Rowles Jr., a daughter Alberta R. Rowles, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mildred Rowles will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at 1 PM with Pastor Duane Stiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Fruit Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM till the time of Services at 1 PM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
