Obituary for Mildred Louise (Weezie) Caldwell
Mildred Louise “Weezie” Caldwell 91, a resident of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the center.
Born April 20, 1922 in Grampian, PA she was the daughter of Ord and Kathleen (Quigley) Hess. She was a homemaker, was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville a well as the Altar and Rosary Society of the Church.
On November 22, 1941 at St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church in Grampian she wed Keith B. Caldwell who survives along with 4 children: Kathleen Kramer and her husband Jack of Newfield, NY, Keith Michael Caldwell and his wife Annette of Punxsutawney, David Neil Caldwell and his wife Lucinda of Bells Landing, and Mark A. Caldwell and his wife Gloria of Cherry Corner, as well as 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter SueEllen Garvey, and 3 sisters Eleanor “Honey” Caldwell, Jane Taylor, and Helen McCracken. She was the last member of her generation.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Caldwell will be held at The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Friday November 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Father Mark J. Mastrian officiating. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday November 21 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Friday from 10 AM until time of services.
