Obituary for Milford Walter Bowman
Milford Walter Bowman, 86, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday February 10, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born July 25, 1931 in Curwensville, he was the son of Walter Wayne and Twila Faye (Dodge) Bowman. Mr. Bowman had worked for the former Robison Clay Products, had worked for the Curwensville Municipal Authority and was retired from Lezzer Lumber Co. in Curwensville. He was a U S Naval Veteran of the Korean War and he loved to garden.
On April 25, 1952 he wed the former Jeannine Ann Smith who survives along with four children. Autumn Howell and husband Doug, Holly Bowman, and Ashley Bowman all of Curwensville and Rhett Bowman of New Millport. Also surviving are five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister Betty Lou Noter and husband Ronald of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Willmer Allen Bowman and Theodore Jonathon “Ted” Bowman.
Funeral Services for Milford Bowman will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday February 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 2:00 PM.
