Obituary for Nellie E. Hullihen
Nellie E. Hullihen 90, of Mahaffey passed away Tuesday December 7, 2010 at Ridgeview Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Born June 24, 1920 in Hepburnia, she was the daughter of Arthur and Mabel (Freeman) Williams. Mrs. Hullihen was a homemaker and a member of the Bells Landing Baptist Church.
She wed Earl W. “Beanie” Hullihen who preceded her in death on February 13, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Thomas R. Hullihen, 3 brothers Ralph, James, and Jack Williams, and a sister Virginia Dickey. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are 6 children: James D. Hullihen and his wife Sharon of Missouri, Daniel E. Hullihen and his wife Joan, Edward A. Hullihen and his wife Dorretta and Sally Daisher and her husband David all of Curwensville, Carol Manion and her husband Martin of Maryland, and Susan Nicholson and her husband Charles of Michigan.
Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hullihen will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Saturday December 11, 2010 at 11 AM, with the Reverend M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Interment will be in the Watts Cemetery. Redden Hill, Curwensville RD.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday December 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Friday from 9 AM until time of services.
