Obituary for Nelson Eddie Wilsoncroft
Nelson Eddie Wilsoncroft, 82, of Curwensville, passed away Monday July 26, 2021 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
Born December 29, 1938 near Spring Valley in Boggs Township, he was the son of Donald and Gladys (Foster) Wilsoncroft. Mr. Wilsoncroft had worked for the former Piper Aircraft Manufacturing, and was a U S Naval Veteran of the Korean War.
He was United Methodist by Faith, was a member of the Curwensville VFW Post 842, the Clearfield Eagles Aerie #812, and the Curwensville L.O.O.M. Family Center #268.
He loved music and had played both accordion and keyboards with several country bands.
On October 21, 1972 he wed the former Dorothy Sabol who survives along with 4 children: Erina Lenhart and husband Joseph “Joe” and Eddie Nelson Wilsoncroft and his companion Elizabeth Pannebecker both of Curwensville; Rick Wilsoncroft and wife Chris of Hawk Run; and Debbie Dellinger and husband Phil of Clearfield.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; a grandson Joel; brothers Lester and Donald “Durb” Wilsoncroft; and sisters: Mona Lumadue and Lorraine Hale. He was the last member of his generation.
Funeral Services for Nelson Wilsoncroft will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday July 30, 2021 at 4:00 PM, with Pastor Gary B. Jewart Officiating. Interment will be in the Styers Cemetery LLC in Hyde, PA. Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
