Obituary for Oleta Margaret Williams
Oleta Margaret Williams, 95, of Clearfield, passed away Sunday November 8, 2009 at the Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born February 23, 1914 in Beaver Township, Crawford County, PA, she was the daughter of Stranford Allen “Tiny” and Bertha Carrie (Hills) Smith. She had been the head Cook at the Clearfield Hospital and also after that had done housekeeping at various homes in the Clearfield Area. She was a member of the Clearfield First Baptist Church.
She had wed Marion Halstead Williams who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, children Jacob, John, Nancy, and Ken Williams, Sisters Mary Wilson, Lena Lumadue, and Leora Smith and Brothers Harold H. Smith and Lyle Smith.
Surviving are 4 children Ethel McLaughlin and husband Francis, Doris Ensinger and husband George and Lester Williams all of Clearfield, and Gloria Jean Finberg and her husband Robert of Wesley Chapel, FL.
Also surviving are several grandchild, several great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a sister Vera Confer Hauck of Altoona.
There will be no public visitation, and graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
