Orlena E. Domico

Curwensville: Orlena Elizabeth Mary Frances (Mom Mom) Domico, 91, of Clearfield, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Friday January 30, 2009 at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born January 10, 1918 In Clearfield, she was the daughter of George B. and Elizabeth (Hugar) Hay. Mrs. Domico was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School and had worked for Dumont Airplane and Marine and Kent Sportswear. She most recently had worked as a receptionist for the Clearfield Beauty Academy and Budget Beauty Shop, and was a Tip Staff at the Clearfield County Courthouse.

On December 21, 1937 she wed Lyle Francis (Tiger) Domico who preceded her in death on December 27, 1964. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lamar (Buddy) Hay, Jesse C. and Lawrence Coudriet, sisters Irene Irwin, Mary N. Lunsford and Bessie Coudriet Keeler, and son-in-law Moe DeMatteo. In addition she was preceded in death by nephews Tom and Leroy Irwin. Tom Lunsford, and Sherm Coudriet.

She had a great love of her family and was never happier than when she spent time with her 4 children Lyle Domico and wife Janet and Patrick Domico and wife Joan, both of Curwensville, Herman Domico and wife Val of Draper, UT, and Penny DeMatteo of Clearfield; her 8 grandchildren Lyle Domico and wife Kate, John Domico and wife Tammy, David Domico and wife Jodi, Jacque DeMatteo and wife Bonnie, Janelle Guelich and husband Mike, Leigh Ann Wintrode and husband Neil, W. K. Domico, and Jennifer Horner and husband Josh; and her 16 great grandchildren.

Also surviving are nieces and nephews Joyce Reddington, Dennis (Buddy) Hay, Robin Hay, Sandy Manos, Tammy Norman, Paul and Richard Irwin, Bob Coudriet, and Betty Hays

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Tuesday February 3, 2009 at 10:00 AM, with the Reverend Father Mark S. Swoger as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA

Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Monday February 2 from 4 to 8 PM, and Tuesday from 9 to 9:30 AM. The Rosary will be recited by members of St. Timothy’s Altar and Rosary Society at 3:30 PM Monday and a Scripture Vigil Services will be conducted at 4 PM Monday, both at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made to either St. Timothy’s Church, St. Francis Endowment Fund, or the Laurel Hill Trout Restocking Program c/o Pat Domico 688 Washington Avenue Curwensville, PA 16833
