DuBois: Patricia L. Witherite 85 of Curwensville, passed away Saturday March 16, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois after a lengthy illness.
The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville is in charge of arrangements.
Born February 11, 1939 in Greenwood Township she was the daughter of Perry and Sadie (Wiley) Barrett. She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed singing and playing guitar. And also enjoyed family gatherings.
She is survived by three sons Kevin Witherite, Dennis Witherite (Gena) all of Kerrmoor, and Roger Witherite (Linda) of Ansonville. Grandchildren Keegan Prisk (Melissa, Tiffany Williams (Chad) Dustin Witherite (Nicole), Cody Witherite, Garrett Witherite (Amanda). Great grandchildren Breilyn Williams, Kenlee Witherite, Reagan Witherite, Teague Prisk, Nora Prisk, Kayden Witherite, Amberlee Witherite, Ashton Witherite. Sisters Ruth Witherite of Salamanca NY, Carol Stiles of Curwensville and a brother Dennis Barrett of Clearfield. And numerous nieces and nephews.
On September 7, 1957 she wed Gene R. Witherite who preceded her in death on June 29, 1995. She was also preceded in death by parents, a grandson Lucas McCracken, brothers and sisters Ethel Barrett, Elwood Barrett, Glen Barrett, Boyd Barrett, Calvin Barrett, and Delain Barrett.
At the request of Ms. Witherite there will be no public viewing or services. Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Watts Cemetery.
