Olanta: Patricia R. “Patty” (Rishel) Bressler, 95, of Olanta passed away Thursday March 13, 2025 at her residence
Born November 28, 1929 in Salem, OH she was the daughter of Robert and Genevieve (Buzzard) Rishel Sr. She was a Curwensville Area High School graduate.
She had worked for Clearfield Hospital and retired from the Clearfield County Assistance Office after 30 years of service.
She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing cards and loved family functions. She especially enjoyed going to Michigan fishing with her husband.
On December 24, 1947 in Olanta, she wed Mearle G. “Mag” Bressler who preceded her in death on February 20, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two grandchildren Barry Bressler, and Robert Bressler Jr. Brothers and sisters Robert Rishel Jr., Kenneth Rishel, Billy Rishel, and Betty Robison.
Surviving are five children Ronald Bressler (Joyce) of Clearfield, Robert Bressler (Linda) of Morrisdale, Gilbert “Gib” Bressler and his significant other Carol Polites of Grampian, Gary M. Bressler (Debbie) Curwensville, and Scott Bressler (Patricia) of Olanta. 10 Grandchildren Stacy Bressler (Phyllis), Brandie Bressler significant other Rod Saltsman, Toni Rowles (Fred), Patty Maier, Steven Bressler significant other Jenny Shaw, Eric Bressler (Brittany), Lindsey Bressler, Matthew Bressler (Holly), Paula Witherite (Keith), Adam Bressler (Dawn). 25 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren. Two sisters Peggy Duttry (Bud) of Curwensville, and Joanne Duttry of Clearfield.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Bressler will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville, on Wednesday March 19, 2025 at 11 AM with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery.
Family and Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Tuesday March 18, 2025 from 5-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM till the time of services at 11 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield County Public Library, 601 Beech Street Curwensville, PA 16833
