Obituary for Patrick Joseph Flanagan III
Patrick Joseph Flanagan III, 66, of Clearfield, passed away Saturday November 21, 2015 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
Born August 19, 1949 in Clearfield, he was the son of Patrick Joseph Jr. and Betty (Moyer) Flanagan. Mr. Flanagan was the Chief Operator of the Water Treatment Plant for the Clearfield Municipal Authority.
He was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church in Grampian, was a Life member of the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department having been a member of the former Third Ward Hose Co., was a former league bowler and enjoyed golfing and hunting.
On June 2, 1973 in the Hepburnia United Methodist Church, he wed the former Doris Pentz who survives along with 3 children. Chad Flanagan and wife Sharon of Clearfield, Carrie Ann Flanagan and spouse Tami of Benezett, and Christie Graham and husband David Jr. of Frenchville.
Also surviving are 2 grandchildren Nicholas and Abigail, 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Dennis “Bernie” Flanagan and wife Pam of Clearfield, Sue Irwin and husband Chuck of Erie, Mary Beth Flanagan Lanich of Olanta, James “Duke” Flanagan of Mahaffey, and Mark Flanagan of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Debra Smeal.
Funeral Services for Mr. Flanagan will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday November 24, 20125 at 5:00 PM with the Reverend J. Robert Mellgard officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 5 PM
