Pearl Marie Rumsky
Clearfield: Pearl Marie Rumsky, of Glen Richey, PA passed away peacefully Wednesday December 16, 2025 after a brief illness at Colonial Courtyard in Clearfield, PA
Pearl was born May 10 in Glen Richey, PA to Frank and Helen (Kusak) Rumsky. She attended grade school in Glen Richey and was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School.
She worked as a seamstress at McGregor Sportswear as well as at Berg Electronics both in Clearfield, PA. When not a work, Pearl was busy at home taking care of family and friends, keeping the homestead spic-and-span and cooking. Pearl loved to cook, bake, and entertain family and friends. Recipes that were passed down from her Mom to new ones she discovered from reading cooking magazines, and watching her favorite cooking shows; especially ethnic and European recipes. She cherished and took care of everyone in her family, and was always there for those in need.
She was a member of St. Timohty’s Roman Catholic Church.
Pearl was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Helen, siblings Joseph, Mary (Kephart), Francis, Ann, John, Delphine, and Kathryn (Kuzniar) Rumsky, as well as nieces and nephews Joanne Kephart, Nadine “Dena” Hayward, and Michael Rumsky.
She is survived by nieces and nephews Charmaine Rumsky of Pittsburgh, Pam Hertlein of Clearfield, Michael Kuzniar of State College, Jeff Rumsky of Clearfield, and Ronald Kephart of O’Shanter. Cousins Nancy Ashley of NY, and Carol Thomas of NJ. And her friend and caretaker Sandy Levine.
Pearl’s legacy of strength and selflessness lives on in all of us. She will be deeply missed.
Mass of Christian of Burial will be said at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, Curwensville on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11 AM with Fr. Zab Amar officiating.
Interment will be in the Crown Crest Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Orphans of the Storm, 412 Hill St. Curwensville, PA 16833, or St. Francis Education Endowment Trust, 212 S. Front St. Clearfield, PA 16830
