Obituary for Penny Sue Dotts
Penny Sue Hamilton Dotts, 42, of New Millport, passed away Wednesday morning March 22, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness.
Born July 6, 1974 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Dave Hamilton and Cathy (Swatsworth) Lightner. Mrs. Dotts was a CNA and had done private duty caregiving. She was both a graduate of Curwensville Area High School and Clearfield County Career and Technology Center and was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Bloomington.
On May 6, 1995 in Bloomington she wed Dennis L. Dotts who survives along with 3 children: Gabriel, Sarah and Shaelyn Dotts all at home, her mother and stepfather Blake Lightner Jr. of Bloomington and her father and stepmother Linda Hamilton of Grampian.
Also surviving is a brother Dave Hamilton Jr. and wife Kristina of Clearfield, a sister Taylor Lightner of Bloomington, and two step brothers Daniel Fuller and wife Alice of Luthersburg and Eric Fuller and wife Kelley of Grampian.
She was preceded in death by bother her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral Services for Penny Dotts will be held at the Community Baptist Church in Bloomington on Tuesday March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Todd T. Hogue officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Monday March 27, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM when the procession will depart for the church.
