Ray G. Gearhart
Clearfield: Ray G. Gearhart, 73, of Curry Run Mahaffey RD, passed away Tuesday December 9, 2025 at Penn Highlands Clearfield after a short illness.
Born May 24, 1952 in Clearfield he was the son of Glenn R. and Kathryn (Rowles) Gearhart. He had worked for Hepburnia Coal Company and RES Coal Company for over 30 years as an oiler on the drag line and also drove rock truck. He was a member of NRA. He loved hunting and especially fishing. He was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by brothers and sisters Mary Ann Gearhart and Terry L. Gearhart of Curry Run, and Kathy Leigey of Clearfield. Adopted nephew Michael Gearhart of Bells Landing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Cindy Luzier, and a brother Tom Gearhart.
Funeral Services for Mr. Gearhart will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Saturday December 13, 2025 at 11 AM with Rev. Rick Butler officiating. Interment will be held in the Crown Crest Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday December 12, 2025 from 4-7 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM- 11 AM.
