Obituary for Raymond K. Spencer
Raymond K. Spencer, 81, of Stronach, passed away Thursday February 2, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital. Born July 30, 1930 in Stronach, Penn Township, he was the son of Lewis Blair and Winifred Althea (Newpher) Spencer. Mr. Spencer was retired from Kurtz Brothers School Supplies in Clearfield as a shipping clerk in September of 1991. He was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War having served in the Central Intelligence Division. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, reading, and camping. On December 6, 1951, he wed his high school sweetheart, the former Virginia Smith, who survives along with 2 children. Raymond L. Spencer and his wife Christine A. of Walltown and Kathy S. Luzier and her husband Richard of Curwensville. Also surviving are 4 grandsons Jonathan Spencer and his companion Melissa Morris of Brockway, Ryan Spencer and his wife Krista of Olanta, Adam Spencer of Joplin, MO, and Matthew LaRock and his wife Tina of Clearfield, 5 great grandsons Brady and Rhyan LaRock and Brendan, Landon, and Tristan Spencer, and 3 nephews Michael, Mark, and Daniel McKenrick. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sara Jane McKenrick. Services for Mr. Spencer will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Sunday February 5, 2012 at 5 PM with Reverend Charles Tabor officiating. Interment will be held in the Friends Cemetery at a later date. Military honors will be accorded at the Funeral Home by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard. Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Sunday February 5, 2012 from 3-5 PM. The Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimers Association or Circle of Friends Hospice  Online condolences may be made to the family at www.chidboyfuneralhome.com.  The Chester C.
