Rebecca “Becca” Anderson


Pittsburgh: Rebecca “Becca” Anderson 73, of Curwensville passed away Sunday November 10, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital after a brief illness.


Born February 28, 1951 in Clearfield she was the daughter of William and Jane (McNaul) Stadtmiller. She was a Curwensville Area High School graduate of 1969 and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree in Education. She retired from the C.I.U. 10 as a speech pathologist after 30 plus years of service.


Becca loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards with her friends, and traveling. She was very involved in her community serving in numerous clubs and organizations. She was a member of the Curwensville BPW, Curwensville Lions Club, Clearfield County Cancer Society, Clearfield and Curwensville Historical Societies, served on the Pike Township Water and Sewer Authority. She was a member of St. Timothys Roman Catholic Church where she helped with church dinners and other activities at the church.


She is survived by 2 sons Erik Anderson (Becky) of Pittsburgh, and Jonathan Anderson (Katie) of Angola, NY. Four Grandchildren Cash Anderson, Alexandra Anderson, Crosby Anderson, and Grayson Anderson. And a sister-in-law Lois Stadtmiller of Altoona.


She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Dr. Richard J. “Rick” Stadtmiller, and William Stadtmiller.


Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church of Friday November 15, 2024 at 10:30 AM with Father Zab Amir as celebrant. Interment will follow in Historic Crown Crest Cemetery.


Family and friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Thursday November 14, 2024 from 4-7 PM and on Friday from 9-10 AM.


The family suggests memorial contributions be to St. Timothy R.C.C. 306 Walnut Street Curwensville, PA 16833, Curwensville Public Library 601 Beech Street Curwensville, PA 16833, or Curwensville Alumni Association P.O. Box 352 Curwensville, PA 16833.
