Obituary for Rebecca L. Lee
Rebecca L. Lee, 68, of Curwensville passed away Wednesday evening June 1, 2016 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born September 8, 1947 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of George and Donna (Lowther) Shaffer. Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and also was a licensed cosmetologist and reflexologist. She had been a part time hairdresser and had also worked for Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, the former W. T. Grant Dept. Store in Clearfield and the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville.
She was Methodist and Baptist by faith, was a member of both the Country Crew Line Dancers and the Kickin’ Country Line Dancers, enjoyed doing crafts and attending craft shows, enjoyed camping with her family, baking, cooking, and made the “Best Jellies”.
On September 13, 1969 she wed Dennis E. Lee who survives along with two daughters Tracy M. Lee of Punxsutawney and Jaime L. Lee of Grampian. Also surviving are two granddaughters Amanda K. Braunns and husband Shannon of DuBois and Hannah A. Lee-Wells of Grampian as well as two sisters DeAnn E. Shaffer and Kathleen C. Lumadue both of Curwensville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother George A. Shaffer.
At the request of Mrs. Lee there will be no public visitation.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville at the convenience of the family with the Reverend James Hurd officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Bethlehem Mahaffey RD
The family suggests contributions be made to the Hahne Cancer Center 100 Hospital Avenue DuBois, PA 15801.
