Richard C. “Rich” Barr Jr.
Curwensville: Richard C. “Rich” Barr Jr., 61, of Curwensville passed away Tuesday April 8, 2025 at Ridgeview Health Care after a brief illness.
Born October 14, 1963 in Detroit, MI he was the son of Richard C. and Shirley (Begg) Barr Sr. He was a 1981 graduate of Curwensville Area High School and a 1987 graduate of Penn State University. And was a graduate of Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI. He had worked as an Auditor for Pike Township.
He was an amateur historian. He loved history especially WWII history. He was an unpublished author. And was known for his keen sense of humor.
He is survived by his sister Rachel Shively (Dion), and a nephew Ian Shively all of Greensburg, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday April 12, 2025 at 2 PM.
Family and friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 PM until the time of service at 2 PM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
