Obituary for Richard Nolan "Dick" Passmore
Richard Nolan “Dick” Passmore, 93, of Ansonville, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ Wednesday December 23, 2020 at Penn Highlands Hospital Clearfield.
Born November 28, 1927 in LaJose, he was the son of John and Leona (Pierce) Passmore. Mr. Passmore was retired as a mining electrician from Barnes and Tucker Mining Company in Cambria County. He was a U S Army Veteran of the Second World War.
He was a member of the Newburg Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge #984 in Glasgow and Masonic Lodge # 574 F. & A. M. in Coalport.
On April 21, 1951 he wed the love of his life the former Evelyn Marie Jacobson who survives along with three children: John Passmore and wife Margie of Hillsboro, MO, Rebecca Kwarciak and husband Steve of Pompano Beach, FL, and Richard Passmore Jr. and wife Meg of Clearfield.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Laura Lamar and husband Joe, Matthew, Rachel, Amanda, Gretchen, Nolan and Richard Passmore; three great grandchildren; a sister Barbara Green of SC; and a special niece Penny McKenney of Gettysburg; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son and daughter; two brothers Rowles and Ray Passmore; and sisters Ethel Thomas, Lorraine Craig, Zella Rehrer, Betty Turner and Jean Hughes.
There will be no public visitation and private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, with the Reverend Dick Michael officiating. Interment will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery New Millport.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Need Fund of the Newburg Baptist Church * P.O. Box 3 * LaJose, PA 15753.
