Obituary for Robert E. Howell
Robert E. Howell 80, a resident of the Lutheran Home of Kane and formerly of Curwensville passed away Sunday March 27, 2011.
Born September 20, 1930 in Kellytown, Knox Twp., he was the son of William J. and Irene (Rowley) Howell. He was protestant by faith and was a U.S. Naval Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Penelec, after 26 years of service, as a Lineman.
In 1952 in Ebensburg he wed JoAnn McAnulty who survives along with 2 children; R. Douglas Howell and his wife Autumn of Curwensville and Daniel P. Howell and his wife Patricia of Palmer Alaska. He is also survived by a sister Marie Aiken of Buffalo NY, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 5 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece.
At the request of the family there will be no public viewing or services. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be held in the Bloomington Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lutheran Home 100 High Point Drive Kane, PA 16735-9704
