Robert Eugene Buck, 76, of Curwensville, passed away Friday morning October 14, 2011 in Curwensville.

Born February 25, 1935 in Curwensville, he was the son of Leslie and Sarah (Hoover) Buck. Mr. Buck was retired from the Penelec Shawville Generating Plant as a Maintenance Mechanic.

He was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church, the Curwensville Noble Lodge #480 F. & A.M., the Williamsport Consistory and the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. Curwensville.

On April 8, 1956 in Clearfield, he wed the former Peggy Maxwell who survives along with 2 sons Joseph Buck and Scott Buck and his wife Bonne both of Curwensville, 2 grandaughters Tania McGarry and Erica Buck, and three great granddaughters Emily, Haley, and Olivia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Betty Jo Buck. He was the last member of his generation.

A Memorial Service for Robert E. Buck will be held at the Curwensville United Methodist Church on Monday October 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Ludrowsky officiating.
Â
Friends will be received at the church from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 1:00 PM.
Â
Private committal services will be held at the Bloomington Cemetery at the convenience of the family at a later date.

The family suggests contributions be made to either the S.P.C.A. 541 Graham Station Road Philipsburg, PAÂ 16866 or the Orphans of the Storm c/o 412 Hill St. Curwensville, PA 16833.
