Obituary for Robert Eugene Stewart
Robert Eugene Stewart, 91, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday morning July 13, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
 
Born November 9, 1921 in Punxsutawney, he was the son of George and Mamie (Hoover) Stewart.  Mr. Stewart was a truck driver having worked for Brown Brothers Trucking, C. Classic Dodge, and Waroquier Coal Company.  He was a U S Army Veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church.
 
On March 14, 1954, he wed the former Mary Lou Coon who survives along with 4 children: Andrew Lumadue and wife Vicki of Santa Rose, CA, Ganelle Lumadue Dippe’ and husband Jerry of Sebastopol, CA, Trudy Lee Stewart Ensminger and husband Bill of Curwensville, and Della Rae Stewart Miller and husband Michael of Export, PA.
 
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Mansfield and John “Whitey” Stewart.  He was the last member of his generation.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Stewart will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday July 16, 2013 at 2:30 PM, with Reverend Charles R. Taber Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 PM until time of services at 2:30 PM
 
The family suggests contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society 26 S. Second Street Clearfield, PA  16830 or the Curwensville Presbyterian Church Building Fund 430 Locust Street Curwensville, PA  16833.
