Obituary for Robert K. "Bob" Norris
Robert K. “Bob” Norris 88, of Curwensville passed away Saturday October 2, 2010 at his residence.
Born May 21, 1922 in Curwensville he was the son of Ralph and Olive (Garrity) Norris. He worked as a Claim Adjuster for Travelers Ins. Prior to becoming Co-Owner of Hembold & Stewart Insurance Company with offices in Clearfield, Curwensville, and Philipsburg. He was Co-owner for over 30 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was protestant by faith. He was also a past member of the Clearfield Rotary Club, Free and Accepted Masons, Noble Lodge #480, and Clearfield Shrine club and Oriental Shrine Band.
On April 16, 1950 in Maryland he wed Mary Helen Notor who survives along with 3 children Robert K. Norris Jr. and his wife Carol of Hebron, OH, Jacqueline E. Norris of Curwensville, and Richard B. Norris and his wife Patty of Bradenton, FL. 4 grandchildren Nicole Huston, Robert K. Norris III, Tyler Norris, and Owen Norris. He was the last member of his generation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Franklin Norris, and 2 brothers Richard and Becken Norris.
At the request of Mr. Norris there will be no public visitation or services. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
The Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Clearfield County SPCA 541 Graham Station Road, Philipsburg, PA 16866.
