Obituary for Robert Ray Swatsworth
Robert Ray Swatsworth, 78, of Greenville, Grampian RD, passed away Sunday April 21, 2013 at his residence.

Born February 7, 1935 in Rochester Mills, PA, he was the son of Blair and Ethel (Winebark) Swatsworth. Mr. Swatsworth was a retired Contractor/Painter having owned and operated R R Swatsworth and Sons General Contracting in Clearfield. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Bloomington, Curwensville RD.

He was a U S Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of the National Rifle Association, the National Wild Turkey Federation, and Ducks Unlimited.

On December 21, 1957 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Clearfield, he wed the former Rose Mary Rauch who survives along with 4 sons and a daughter. Robert D. Swatsworth and wife Denise and Carrie M. Gaines and husband Scott both of Clearfield, Mark A. Swatsworth and wife Donna of Indiana, Randall S. Swatsworth and wife Trena of Bigler, and Daniel I. Swatsworth and wife Dawn of Curwensville.

Also surviving are 11 grandchildren: David Swatsworth, Derek Swatsworth and fiancée Celeste Dunlap, Jason Swatsworth, Matthew Swatsworth, Destiney Swatsworth, Randall Swatsworth II, Joelene Murawski, Cassandra Swatsworth, Mallory Swatsworth, Abigal Gaines, and Allyson Gaines as well as a sister Annabell Peters of Clearfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son David Swatsworth.

Funeral Services for Mr. Swatsworth will be held at the Community Baptist Church Route 453 South Curwensville on Thursday April 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Todd Hogue officiating. Interment will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday April 24 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Thursday at the church from 10 AM until time of services.
