Robert W. “Bob” Maines 95 of Curwensville passed away Sunday February 22, 2015 at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 5, 1919, in Bigler, PA he was the son of Burtis and V. Mae (Bumbarger) Maines. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by 2 granddaughters Jackie Sanders and her husband Tim and Amanda Royer and her husband Bill all of Curwensville. 5 great grandchildren, 5 brother and sisters Darrel Maines, Chester Maines, Bertha Buck, Helen Cupp, and Dorothy Feaster.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Kearney, a daughter Deborah Greendoner, grandson Christopher Mencer, brothers Ralph, Walter, Ernest, Harry, Benny, Harold, and Ray. Sisters Katherine, Violet, Hetti, and Martha.
A public memorial service for Mr. Maines will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday February 28, 2015 at 11:00AM. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home from 10 AM till the time of services at 11 AM.
