Obituary for Ronald Dean Bracken
Ronald Dean Bracken 75, of Mahaffey passed away Saturday October 23, 2010 at his residence.
Born August 7, 1935 in Mahaffey he was the son of Oliver Meredith and Ethel Alice (Miller) Bracken. He was employed as a trade carpenter and worked with various contracting companies. He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union.
He is survived by a son Todd Bracken and his wife Terri of Curwensville, 3 grandchildren Derek, Allison, and Ashley Bracken. Sister Velma “Bonnie” Kritzer and her husband Joe of NC, and a Brother W.T. “Bill” Bracken and his wife Delores of Julian, PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie L. Bracken, brothers Frank, Dave, Elsworth “Buck”, C.P. “Pete”, Jack, James, Robert Bracken. Sisters Helen Jefferies, Louise Barr, Gertrude Sunderland, Sarah Brown, and infant Elizabeth Bracken.
Services for Mr. Bracken will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Wednesday October 27, 2010 at 11 AM with Reverend George Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Caramel Cemetery in Mahafffey.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Tuesday October 26, 2010 from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM till the time of services at 11 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home 300 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833.
