Obituary for Ronald Lee Swatsworth
Ronald Lee Swatsworth, 74, of Clearfield, passed away early Friday morning September 4, 2009 at the Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.



Born April 24, 1935 in Curwensville, he was the son of Alfred and Iva (Barrett) Swatsworth.  Mr. Swatsworth was retired as an auto electrician for Bud’s Electric of Clearfield.  He was a former member of the O’Shanter United Methodist Church.



On August 28, 1959 he wed the former Elizabeth “Betty” Bloom who preceded him in death on December 10, 2005.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother Walter Swatsworth, and 2 sisters Doris Haag and JoAnn Ogden.



Surviving are 2 daughters Tammy Jo Swiderski and her husband David of Longwood, FL and Lori Ann Swatsworth of Clearfield.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren 2 brothers and 5 sisters.  Alfred E. “Bud” Swatsworth and his wife Freda, and Donna McCartney and her husband Tom both of Glen Richey, Mary Ida Tubbs and her husband DeRoy, Sandra Burke, June Wisor, and Theodore “Ted” Swatsworth and his wife Barbara, all of Clearfield, and Shirley Johnson of Morrisdale.



Services for Mr. Swatsworth will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2009 at 1PM at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc, of Clearfield with Reverend George Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomington Cemetery.



Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Clearfield on Tuesday September 8, 2009 from 6 to 9 PM and on Wednesday September 9, 2009 from 10 AM till the time of Services at 1 PM.



The family suggests contributions be made to either the Central PA Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society  2040 Linglestown Road  Suite 104  Harrisburg, PA  17110 or the NW PA Chapter of the Autism Society of America  P.O. Box 3923  Erie, PA  16508.
