Obituary for Rosalie Gertrude Patterson
Rosalie Gertrude Paterson, 96, of East Aurora, NY and formerly of Glen Richey passed away Saturday October 31, 2009 in East Aurora, after a lengthy illness.
Born May 13, 1913 in Glen Richey she was the daughter of Alex and Helen (Hoyt) Ward. She had been employed as a riveter for the former Curtis-Wright Airplane Manufacturing, during World War II.
She is survived by 2 children Andrew Patterson and his wife Darlene of Hamburg NY, and Raymond Patterson and his wife Faith of Danville, Indiana, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Susan Ward of Houtzdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Patterson who passed away in 1983, 2 brothers Harry “Bud” and Alex D. Ward, and 4 sisters Avanelle Edminston, Helen Lybarger, Madeline Carter, and Sarah Marie Reinke as well as 2 grand-children.
Services for Rosalie Patterson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Tuesday November 3, 2009 at 12:30 PM with Pastor Todd T. Hogue Officiating. Interment will follow in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday November 3, 2009 from 11:00 AM till the time of services at 12:30 PM.
