Curwensville: Sara R. Curulla 88 of Curwensville passed away Sunday April 21, 2024.
Born April 23, 1935 in Curwensville she was the daughter of Charles and Ada (Floyd) Carfley. She was a 1954 graduate of Curwensville Area High School. She had worked at Kents Sportswear for over 30 years serving at Supervisor for some of those years. She was the current president of the Curwensville Boro Council and had served the community on the council the past 10 years where she served on various committees throughout the council.
She was also a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield and recently attended St. Timothys Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville.
In 1953 in Clearfield, PA she wed Mark A. Curulla who preceded her in death on July 16, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 2 infant grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons David Curulla and his wife Karen of Clearfield, and Joseph Curulla and wife Donnie of Roanoke, VA. Also surviving are 2 grandsons Daniel Donahue and wife Ashley and their children Isabelle, Finnan, Parker, Ava, and Aiden; and Joseph Curulla and wife Jessie and their children Charlotte, Amelia, and Arthur.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Timothys Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Saturday April 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Father Stephen Collins as celebrant. Interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park in Clearfield.
Family and friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Friday April 26, 2024 from 5-8 PM and on Saturday at the Funeral Home from 9 AM till 10 AM.
