Shirley Lorraine Fleck, 70, of Clearfield, passed away Saturday December 12, 2009 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born December 11, 1939 in Clearfield she was the daughter of Abe and Ruby (Winters) Richards. She was a homemaker.
Shirley possessed great inner strength and grace in meeting lifes challenges. Her determination and character were an inspiration to her family and those who knew her.
She is survived by her long time companion Jack Wisor of Curwensville, 1 daughter Debra Dess and her husband David of CA, and 3 sons Harry Fleck of AZ, John Fleck and his wife Beverly, and Richard Fleck all of Clearfield. 2 brothers William Richards of Curwensville, and Gilbert Richards of Clearfield. 5 grandchildren Kenneth and Jeffrey Dees of CA, Nicholas Fleck of AZ, Aaron Fleck of Clearfield, and Rae Ann Fleck of Erie. And a great granddaughter Ellanor Dees.
She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Harry Fleck, an infant son Jody Fleck, and a brother Chester Richards, and sister Mary Hainsey.
Funeral Services for Shirley Fleck will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Thursday December 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Thompson Cemetery Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Wednesday December 16, 2009 from 5-8 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM till the time of services at 11:00 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of a Donors Choice.
