Obituary for Tarri Lynn Kalgren
Tarri Lynn Kalgren, 56, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday September 22, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born December 14, 1961 in Brockway, she was the daughter of Alfred B. and Elaine Margaret (McKay) Bassetti. Mrs. Kalgren was a homemaker and was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church where she had been a religious education teacher. She also had been a Girl Scout leader and had been a member of the Curwensville Golden Tide Football Boosters Club.
On August 8, 1981 in Brockway, PA, she wed Gregory Scott Kalgren who survives along with five children: Brandi L. Wigfield and husband Kyle of Curwensville, Matt S. Kalgren and wife Susie of State College, Andrew M. Kalgren and Amy D. O’Keefe and husband Brent both of Philadelphia and David N. Kalgren and his Fiancée Ali Chevestick of Midland Park, NJ.
Also surviving are three grandchildren: Taylor, Brooke and Thea and four siblings: Marlene Poe and husband Bobby of Annapolis, MD, Alan Bassetti and wife Jane of Medina, OH, Lynn Watson and husband Scott of Treasure Lake and Blaine Bassetti of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at 10:30 AM, with Reverend Father L. Stephen Collins as Celebrant.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday September 25, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and again on Wednesday from 9 AM until 10 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.
A Scripture Vigil Service will be conducted Tuesday September 25 at 1:45 PM at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Magee Woman’s Foundation.
