Obituary for Terry Lynne Collins
Terry Lynne Collins, 71, of Clearfield, passed away early Monday morning, September 26, 2022 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born January 20, 1951 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Albert “Whitey” and Helen (Lytle) Werdal. Mrs. Collins was a secretary having worked for Shawville Coal Co., Hamlin Coal Co., was retired from Hess and Fisher Engineering Firm in Clearfield, and was a 1968 graduate of the Clearfield Area High School
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church in Clearfield, had been a statistician for the Clearfield Little League for many years, was a member of the Centre Elementary PTO, was a member of the National Secretary Association, was secretary for the Clearfield AHS Band Boosters, and had been a charter member of the former Clearfield Fireman’s Auxiliary.
On September 5, 1970 she wed Terry M. Collins who survives along with two children: Thomas M. Collins and wife Kylie of Clearfield and Amy Bloom and husband Dennis Michael of State College.
Also surviving are six grandchildren: Patrick, Brett, Hannah, Ryan, Aubree, and Emily; two step grandchildren Noah and Cooper; two great grandchildren: Amelia and Lochlan; a sister Kristina “Tina” Werdal Murray and husband Greg of Tyrone; a brother Ted Werdal of State College; an Uncle Keith Lytle of TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; aunts Eleanor Kester and Ethel Mayhew; and a sister-in-law Mary Werdal.
Funeral Services for Terry Collins will be held in the Chapel at West Side United Methodist Church * 317 Nichols Street * Clearfield, PA 16830, on Saturday October 1, 2022 at 12:00 Noon, with Pastor David McElwee officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Clearfield.
Family and Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 AM Saturday until time of services at 12:00 Noon.
