Thomas Edward “Tommy” “Smitty” Smith of Curwensville, passed away Monday June 12, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born, September 15. 1972 in Clearfield, he was the son of Robert and Patricia “Patty” (Mayersky) Smith. Thomas was employed by Magnet Applications as a Mix Room Technician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
On December 19, 2013 in Houtzdale, he wed the former Melony J. Burke who survives along with an infant son Robert Michael Smith both at home. Also surviving is a sister Anna Patterson and husband Richard of Curwensville a brother Joseph Smith and wife Rebecca of State College and 7 nieces and nephews: Danielle Hepfer, Meghan Hepfer, Morgan Patterson, Rachael Smith, Josh Smith and Austin Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services for Thomas E. Smith will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc., of Curwensville on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday June 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and again on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services at 2 PM.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Robert Michael Smith Trust Fund in care of 300 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833
